Exhibitions

In the buildings on the premises, we display materials and information from the active period of the Kalix Line.

Please note that the buildings remain locked for safety reasons.
Let us know a day in advance of your visit, and we will gladly unlock them for you!

Preparedness cinema

Entertainment was considered crucial for maintaining morale during the preparedness years, and cinemas and local revues were vital tools in this effort. We have a charming cinema hall with a stage, built in the style of that era.

Alongside the stage, we display materials, newspaper clippings, and information from the preparedness period. There's also a rack of old uniforms for those who wish to try them on.

In the front room, we’ve set up a field hospital tent to provide a glimpse into what wartime medical care might have looked like.

The Cold war barrack

In one of our barracks, we host an engaging exhibition about the Cold War.

Here, you can learn about the Kalix Line and its role as a defense zone during this tense period. The exhibition includes information on the weapons and vehicles of the era, as well as preserved newspaper articles and local stories. Reading material is mostly in swedish, and we are working on translating them into english for our foreign guests.

You’ll also have the opportunity to see original equipment, weapons, and vehicles from the active years of the Kalix Line.
