All-terrain vehicle 11/Terrängbil 11
The all-terrain vehicle 11 replaced PLTGB 903 (The puppy)
Although the military was satisfied with the Valps, there was a need for off-road vehicles with better terrain mobility and larger cargo capacity.
The result was the TGB 11 and TGB 13.
The TGB 11 is a two-axle vehicle, while the TGB 13 is a three-axle, slightly longer version. Various variants of these vehicles were then developed, adapted to their specific purposes.
The TGB 11 is four-wheel drive, with high ground clearance and 117 horsepower. It performs well on roads (70 km/h) and excels in rough terrain. It can carry 900 kg of cargo and accommodate 6 passengers. A mount for the M58 machine gun is installed on the roof.
Unfortunately, Kalixlinjens museum does not have a "standard" TGB 11 on display, but we do have the radio vehicle version TGB 1112 , Anti-tank gun terrain vehicle 1111, och Anti-tank guided missile all-terrain vehicle 1111A.
