Rebuilt from an anti-tank gun vehicle 1111 (which in turn is a variant of TGB 11), the anti-tank guided missile all terrain vehicle is adapted for RB56 (a medium-range missile system made by Bofors). RB56 developed to target tanks, but also used to destroy vehicles, boats, and similar targets.
The modification for the missile system on this vehicle likely took place in the early to mid-1990s.
Folding bow guards, option for a canopy, and the missile launcher mounted on a height-adjustable platform in the center of the vehicle.
Firing would take place from concealed positions, so the vehicle is not armored. The lack of armor weight made the vehicle lighter and faster.

Support legs are mounted on the vehicle to stabilize it during missile launch. These telescopic support legs are housed in elongated metal boxes on the front and rear bumpers.

This is an A model, and not modified based on user feedback, as was the case with the B models. 

 In the early 2000s, the Swedish Armed Forces phased out the RBS 56 (Robot System 56), and the PVRBTGB was either stored in warehouses or decommissioned.
