9 CM PVPJ 1110 /T

9 cm anti-tank gun 1110, a recoilless anti-tank weapon with a caliber of 9 cm.

The PVPJ 1110 was developed by Bofors in the late 1950s and was introduced into service by the Swedish Army in 1959. The museum's example is registered in 1963.

PVPJ 1110 laddas med 9 cm patroner, som vägde runt 10 kg styck. Eldhastighet på 6-8 skott per minut, och de olika laddningarna kunde ha pansargenomslag på upp till 800 mm!

Originally, the PVPJ 1110 was towed by a tractor, but the development of the PLTGBIL 903 (Valpen) there was an opportunity to mount and transport the cannon in a more efficient way.
An open version of the PLTGBIL 903 was ordered, and with the PVPJ 1110 mounted on a carriage, it became quicker to get into position during combat.
The PVPJ 1110 has also been mounted on other vehicles, such as the BV206, PVPTGB 1111, and even ski sleds! 

(The museum has a PVRBTGBIL 1111A which most likely had the PVPJ 1110 mounted before the vehicle was modernized to be used with the RBS56.)
