They wanted a higher payload capacity, better road handling characteristics, greater reliability, and lower maintenance costs.&nbsp;\n                      <br>H\u00e4gglunds (now BAE Systems) made a significant investment and won the contract.&nbsp;<\/p>\n                    <p>The museum has two examples, both registered in 1980.&nbsp;<\/p>\n                    <p>F\u00f6rutom att kunna ta sig fram i riktigt besv\u00e4rlig terr\u00e4ng (se l\u00e4nkad video), \u00e4r den nog l\u00e4tt f\u00f6r att kunna transporteras med frakthelikopter\/flygplan och allts\u00e5 luftlands\u00e4ttas. Maxhastighet landsv\u00e4g landar p\u00e5 just \u00f6ver 50 km\/h, och tar 9 liter\n                      bensin per mil.&nbsp;\n                      <br>The BV 206 is equipped with drive on all four tracks, enabling it to tackle slopes of 45 degrees on hard terrain and 17 degrees in deep snow. If necessary, it can be fitted with a Kulspruta 58 or Kulspruta 88 machine gun on the roof for enhanced combat capabilities&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n                    <p>The BV 206 was phased out of military service in the early 2000s but continues to play a vital role within the Home Guard. It has also been used for civilian purposes, such as by Svenska kraftn\u00e4t (Swedish National Grid) and Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n                  <\/div>\n
